Perception

To someone out there, on a distant star or planet, we would be regarded as strange and alien beings. Some intelligent life may even be looking up in our direction and wondering about what lies here. Perhaps they may even be concocting imagined images of us.

If we were to understand them, as they understand themselves, we would find nothing but the familiar. There is, after all, nothing alien in this Universe.

Everything is known to itself.

Erroneous perception, is a perception that is flawed because it is not fully informed or fully aware.

It is ignorance.

Therefore it follows that the measure of our ignorance is the measure of our prejudice.
